Preschool leadership team

    Dear Parents and/or Guardians,

My name is Dr. Nicole Evans. I hold the director position for The Preschool at Point Washington. I am a veteran teacher, with eleven years at the elementary school level and two in higher education. I am eager to get to know you and your child(ren). I am confident that together we will create a place where your child will grow and develop cognitively, physically, socially, and emotionally.

I would also like to take a moment to provide you with some background information about my life outside of the preschool. I recently moved from Macon, Georgia. I have a B.S. in Early Childhood Education, and a ME.d. in Educational Technology, both from Georgia College & State University. Additionally, I have a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from Mercer University. I have a wonderful husband, Jay Evans, who works for The United Way and three beautiful daughters. Parker is nine, Zowie is four, and Brylee is two years old. Lastly, my family is a big Auburn football fan and Yankees baseball fan.

The Preschool at Point Washington is thrilled to welcome you to our preschool family and we look forward to partnering with you in the beginning stages of your child’s education.  Preschool is an exciting time filled with wonder and exploration.  We strive to provide a quality, developmentally appropriate learning experience for each child.  Our staff is highly qualified and brings years of experience to the classroom.  Each day will be filled with fun and exciting opportunities to help your child develop spiritually, academically, and socially.  We look forward to all that God will do this year as we work together in building a foundation for your child’s future.

Please contact me with any questions or concerns.

    Nicole Evans, Ph.D.

Hi, I am Mary Catherine Garrett. I am the assistant director at our Preschool.  I have been  teaching for over five years at the Preschool at Point Washington United Methodist Church. I received my bachelor's degree in Child Development from Delta State University in 2014. Seeing a child grow from our infant program all the way through our VPK program truly is a privilege. I love watching friendships form and especially love watching children develop a relationship with Christ. We have an amazing staff, focused on spreading the love of Christ and enriching the lives of each child in our care.
