hurricane michael

God is our refuge and strength,

    a very present help in trouble.

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change,

    though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;

though its waters roar and foam,

    though the mountains tremble with its tumult.

Psalm 46

We lift up prayers for those who have been and continue to be affected by Hurricane Michael.  We know a number of you have sustained damage to your homes. You and yours are in our prayers, and we pray for safety and for God’s sustaining peace to guide us all in these days of rebuilding and regaining our footing.

Mission mondays for hurricane michael recovery

Rev. Amy will be leading mission teams on a few Mondays in the next couple of months to Panama City and Port St. Joe.  We are working with the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) to identify work sites and needs in the area.

Space is limited to 9 people (plus Rev. Amy) for these Mondays. Spots will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Once sites and needs are confirmed, Rev. Amy will communicate what standard equipment/tools will be needed. We will be traveling in the church van so you will not need to drive. We will leave PWUMC early in the morning and return late afternoon/early evening. If you are interested in being part of our Mission Mondays, please fill out and return the form below or go to the link on our church website for Hurricane Michael Mission Mondays and Mission Trip.
