TO KNOW CHRIST; TO LOVE CHRIST; TO MAKE THE LOVE OF CHRIST KNOWN

music & Worship arts

"When in our music God is glorified and adoration leaves no room for pride, it is as though the whole creation cries "Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!" -Fred Pratt Green

Worship is not a thing we do one day a week. Worship is a life lived "unto" God. Each member of the community of God gathered at Point Washington United Methodist Church is actively involved in developing this life in themselves and walking with each other as we together grow into the likeness of Jesus. When we worship God in music we bring each other and those who see our worshiping into a special place in the very presence of God. At PWUMC we have many opportunities to participate in the worship of our Lord through music. Contact Katie Ott to discuss how to become involved in this fulfilling act of service!

Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty expanse. Praise Him for His mighty deeds; Praise Him with harp and lyre. Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe. Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that Has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!

 Psalm 150:1-6

worship media

"Then I turned to SEE the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands..." Revelation 1:12

Media has played a large role in gatherings of the followers of Jesus since the beginning. In the early days, men like Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, James, Peter and Jude wrote letters containing eye witness accounts of the life of Jesus and full of God-breathed stories of salvation, and guidance and wisdom for the gathered church

These letters were copied by hand and distributed by foot and ship among the gatherings of the followers of Jesus located throughout the known world. For fifteen hundred years this was the practice in the church.

Then at the beginning of the age of Reformation, the movable type printing press was invented and the Bible was the first book ever printed. In the shadow of this remarkable history the Media Ministry @ PWUMC labors to carry the Gospel to the ends of the earth, using the tools of modern communications, beginning in the rooms in which we meet every week!

We labor to help us all to SEE the living Jesus at work in our midst, and in all those places where He is at work throught the world.
